How do I arrange cover?

  • Cover can be arranged instantly online
  • Cover can also be arranged over the telephone by calling us on +44 161 772 3373*
    (Office opening times are Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm excluding Public Holidays).

    • Please note all telephone bookings are subject to a €5 administration fee.
    • In order to get our best price please book online.

Who insures me?

The Campus Block Halls policy is a product of UK & Ireland Insurance Services (Online) Limited, which is authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Register Number 312248.

Who underwrites the policy?

  • The policy is underwritten by RSA Insurance Ireland Limited.
  • RSA Insurance Ireland Limited is regulated by the Financial Regulator and is a private company limited by shares registered in Ireland under number 148094 with registered office at RSA House, Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin 16.

The Directors are Simon Lee (British) Philip Smith, Jack Mcllduff, Richard Dewar (British) and Iain Walsh.

Where & how long does cover apply?

Student contents and possessions insurance is an annual policy. Cover applies in the following locations:

  • You are covered within your accommodation, and in direct transit to and from your home address at the beginning and end of each term.
  • IMPORTANT: If you require cover outside of your accommodation it is available as an optional extension to the Basic Cover
  • Basic Cover commences at the start of your tenancy agreement for personal possessions (or when your proposal is accepted, if later for optional extensions)
  • Cover is provided annually for the length of time you are a resident of, Trinity College Dublin. If you leave and still need cover see our Irish Campus ProductClick here

How do I cancel my policy?

If you wish to cancel your policy- you should do so by writing to us at:

Please include the following:

  • Your Name
  • Policy Number
  • Date of Birth
  • A declaration that no claims have been made or are pending on the policy.

NB: Please note cancellations can only be effective from the date we are contacted, therefore can not be retrospective or cancelled in advance.

What are the policy Cancellation terms?

  • If having examined your policy you decide that the policy does not meet your requirements, you will have 14 days to cancel the policy and receive a full refund provide no claims have been made or are pending on the policy.
  • You may also cancel this policy outside of the 14 days and received a pro-rata refund minus a €25 cancellation charge subject to you meeting the following criteria:
    • There have been no claims made or pending on the policy
    • Your premium is €60 or more
    • There is 4 full months or more remaining on the policy.

If you do not meet any of the above criteria then there will be no refund available to you.

How do I make a claim?

  • If you need to make a claim, please contact us as soon as possible. If the claim involves a loss of theft, malicious damage, vandalism or any other criminal activity you must report the incident to the Gardai within 24 hours of discovery.

I’m moving, is my Insurance still valid?

  • No if you are leaving Trinity College Dublin accommodation, you must book a new policy.
  • To book a new policy for your new address you can book onlineClick here or contact us on +44 161 772 3373*
  • Alternatively send us an Email outlining your requirements and including a contact telephone number so we can call you back and arrange the new policy.

How do I make a change to my policy?

  • Please contact us either by phone or e-mail stating your policy number and the change that you wish to make. Most changes will require you to pay an additional premium along with a €5 mid-term adjustment fee. The additional premium is normally worked out on a pro-rata base.
