Optional Extensions
You may have the need to extend the Basic Cover provided. Details of the optional extensions available to you are listed below.
BASIC COVER OPTIONAL EXTENSIONS
- Personal Possessions Item Limits: Extend limit to £500 or £1,000.
- Desktop Computer Equipment: Extend the Basic Cover sum insured limit up to £2,500.
- Laptop and Portable Computers: Extend the Basic Cover to include Laptop & Portable Computer Equipment up to £1,000 or £2,500.
- Legal Expenses: Add cover up to £30,000 for defending claims against you, for claiming against other people for damage or injury they cause you, plus employment protection such as unfair dismissal.
- Sports Equipment: Extend personal possessions cover to include sports equipment (item limits apply).
- Personal Accident | Sports Shield Plus: Add cover up to £20,000 for accidental injury whilst participating in sports.
- Musical Instruments: Extend personal possessions cover to include musical equipment (item limits apply).
- All Risks | Cover outside of your accommodation (Subject to item limits): Provides cover against accidental damage or theft anywhere within the UK. You may wish to consider this optional extension if you own items such as laptop or handheld computer equipment, photographic equipment, jewellery and portable audio equipment such as mp3 players.
- Pedal Cycles: Extend the Basic Cover to include a pedal cycle within your accommodation or anywhere within the UK (item limits apply).
